Alumni Help Restart
Theta Sigma Chapter

Alumni Liston and Caroline Bias were presented Distinguished Service Keys by Theta Sigma in recognition of their work to restart that chapter at Oklahoma State University. They began the effort upon moving to OSU from Psi Omega at the University of Central Florida. Theta Sigma was rechartered on December 16, 1995, the 70th anniversary of Alpha Phi Omegds founding.


Iota Phi Alum Receives
Young American Award

An alumni member of Iota Phi at the University of California at Davis has received the Young American Award from the Boy Scouts of America.

Nam-Phong Duy Phan was honored for his work as a student leader, aspiring physician and advocate for refugee children.

The Young American Award recognizes young adults, 15-25 years old, who have excelled in art, athletics, business, education, government, the humanities, literature, music religion or science and in community, state or national service that has added to the quality of life.

Phan's activities have ranged from coordinating annual bike-a-thons to raise money to benefit refugee children from Southeast Asia to serving as patrol leader of an Explorer Post in San Jose, California.
