I am proud to inform you that the Alpha Gamma Xi Chapter on the campus of the University of Dayton was the proud recipient of the Top Service Organization '95-96 Award. Each year the Student Activities Office sponsors a "Top Organization" contest, and for the first time in two years, we applied. We were proud just to be in the semifinals, but to win was such a gift to a hardworking chapter such as ours.

As we approach our fifth anniversary this winter, we have begun our critical years of growth. This honor provides the motivation while we provide the energy. I thought the other chapters could share in our joy and be inspired to strive harder in their endeavors. You never know until you try. Alpha Gamma Yi - once again proving that what lies behind us or before us is little compared to what lies in us.

First I would like to say that I absolutely LOVE the new look and increased size of the Torch & Trefoil! It is a much needed face-lift, and I'm looking forward to the next issue. I particularly enjoy the new "History Facts," "Guest Column," "Q&A" and, naturally, "Letters to the Editor" like this one.

But speaking of the "Q&A" section, I believe Tim Dady's recent question about "a National Alpha Phi Omega page" could have been answered more directly. While it is true that Alpha Phi Omega's "official" presence on the Internet is practically nonexistent, its unofficial presence is large and growing at a rate comparable to the rest of the Web. Since the question made no stipulation regarding officiality, Tim, if you're reading, here's your answer: Yes, the largest of the unofficial national-level Web sites is "Fuzz's APHIO Pages" at: http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~hochstrd/aphio/

Salutations from the "Land of the Morning Calm". The U.S. Army in its greater wisdom has transferred me from Fort Polk, Louisiana, and the 2nd U.S. Calvary to 2nd Infantry Division, Korea.

I arrived in Korea in late March '96 and will be here for about a year. I'm Executive Officer for HHC 21 D. I'm stationed at Camp Red Cloud, which is in Uijongbu. M*A*S*H fans should remember Uijongbu. The 4077th was located near here. My mail address is: ILT Paul E. Marion, HHC 21D, XO, Unit #15041, APO AP 96258-0281. Well, that is about all for now.
