New Grant Program Helps
Chapter Take Kids to Zoo

With funds provided through the Fraternity's new Youth Service Grant Program, Kappa Chi Chapter at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, helped children from the Winnebago Indian Reservation enjoy a day at the zoo.

Another grant will be used to assist Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts from low-income areas in Illinois, while in Georgia the program will support activities to educate high school students about the risks of drinking and driving.

In all, eight chapters were the first recipients of youth service grants made possible by a gift to the National Fraternity.

The program provides funds for socially positive service projects benefiting precollege youth. Be on the lookout this fall for information about how to apply for a 1997 Alpha Phi Omega Youth Service Grant.
